The portraits of Kevin Davies are sensitive, and like man himself unassuming. There are hints of the subject’s professions of crafts but not so much that it hides the true person in the portrait.

These are musicians, actors, artists who all seem comfortable with showing their souls to the photographer and who trust his tasteful but revealing eye. 

Kevin was born and lives in London but spent his teens in Cornwall, the spiritual home of many painters and potters. He studied fine art at Winchester School of Art but soon realised that photography was his choic of artistic expression. Kevin Davies has worked for influential publications like i-D, The Face & Arena. He has also co-operated with master milliner Philip Treacy for over 20 years and produced a book on Treacy’s work with Phaidon in 2013.
